Founder’s Note
Olivia Hickerson, CNP is the Founder of EmpowerTactics.
Olivia built her expertise inside the nonprofit sector, where she has led organizational restructuring, governance realignment, and leadership transitions from the inside. She is a Certified Nonprofit Professional, and nonprofit and mission-driven organizations remain the core of her work today.
That depth has proven to be the foundation for something broader. The underlying skill, reading ambiguity quickly, identifying where a structure no longer matches the organization it was built for, and aligning the people who need to agree before a decision can hold, applies regardless of industry. Olivia now brings that same approach to organizations beyond the nonprofit sector facing the same kind of structural strain.
She is known for staying composed in high-pressure, high-stakes situations, and for naming what isn't working clearly and directly rather than softening it. Clients describe her as steady under pressure, not because the stakes aren't real, but because she focuses on building toward a solution rather than sitting in the discomfort of the problem.
